An NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, is a unique digital asset verified using blockchain technology. Unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are fungible and can be exchanged on a one-for-one basis, NFTs are distinct and cannot be exchanged on a like-for-like basis.
This uniqueness and indivisibility make NFTs particularly useful for representing ownership or proof of authenticity of a specific item or piece of content, such as digital art, collectibles, music, or even virtual real estate.
