But a study from 2013 conducted by researchers at the University of London, explained that they have used CBD on test subjects, which showed a significant in the amount of cigarettes that they smoked daily. The study consisted of 12 test subjects which was tasked to quit smoking. The study conducted that they test subjects who used CBD oil was smoking 40% less than the test subjects that was only placed under placebo.
Several other studies have shown a direct connection between CBD’s connection to several neural circuits and their involvement in addiction and addictive behavior, by modelling the endocannabinoid system. This shows that CBD can potentially be a very potent tool for quitting smoking, while also containing dozens of other health benefits.
